Briefs, and asking Siri about the people you serve
Week of October 19, 2026
✅ New
- “Hey Siri, Ask TP Go.” iOS 1.5.12 Give a name, then ask what you want to know: “Who are her kids?”, “What’s his address?”, “When did someone last talk to her?” Siri answers from TouchPoint and keeps listening for the next question. You can also say “call her”, “text him saying I’m running late”, “email her”, “get directions”, “open her profile”, or “add a note”. Calls, texts and emails are logged to TouchPoint just like the buttons in the app, following your church’s logging settings. Not sure what to say? Ask “What can I ask?” and Siri gives you examples. Like briefs, Ask TP Go runs on the iPhone itself and needs iOS 26 and an iPhone with Apple Intelligence. Say “that’s all” when you are done.
- Ask TP Go knows more about each person. iOS 1.5.12 Ask for their emergency contact, allergies or medical notes, the tasks they have finished, their nickname or maiden name, member status, bio, or, for students, their grade and school. Emergency contact and medical details follow the same permission as the Emergency Contact section on their card, and Siri gives them only when you ask. “Does anyone in the family have allergies?” checks each person in the household under their own permission. Ask for “all of her open tasks” or “every recent note” and Siri now reads each one and says how many there are, instead of stopping after one or two.
- Switch to someone else mid-conversation. iOS 1.5.12 Say “switch to Denise”, “what about Anna Swaby?”, or “tell me about Butch” for their brief, and Siri carries on with that person. Family members are matched first, so “Denise” means the Denise in the household. If several people share the name, Siri asks for the full name. For a quick question about someone in the same household, just use their name, like “What’s Denise’s birthday?” Siri answers from her record and stays on the person you started with.
- A brief on every contact card. iOS 1.5.12 Open someone and tap Show brief for a short summary: who they are, their family and related families, the groups they belong to and the ones they lead, open tasks, and what recent notes say. Tap Read aloud to hear it. Below the brief, an Ask box lets you type a question about them. The brief is written on the iPhone itself by Apple Intelligence; nothing about the person is sent anywhere, and it only uses what you can already see in TouchPoint®. Briefs need iOS 26 and an iPhone with Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or newer). On other phones, Help explains what is missing.
- “Hey Siri, brief me in TP Go.” iOS 1.5.12 Siri asks who, then reads their brief, which is handy on the way to a visit. When it finishes, Siri asks if there is anything else you want to ask or do, or ask about somebody else, so you can keep going without starting over.
- Turn Briefs off for your church. tpxigo.com Briefs and Ask TP Go are on for every church. If you would rather your staff not use them, uncheck Briefs and Ask on your TP Go dashboard.
- What’s New in Settings. iOS 1.5.12 After an update, Settings shows a badge. Tap What’s New to read what changed in the version you have, with a link back to this page for earlier versions. Opening it clears the badge.
- Caller ID in one tap. iOS 1.5.12 The Enable Caller ID banner now has a Turn On button that opens the exact iPhone setting, instead of a menu path to follow. Once you switch TP Go on and come back, the banner goes away by itself.
🔧 Bug Fix
- Siri finds everyone, even right after opening the app. iOS 1.5.12 Asking Siri to search TP Go opens the app, and opening the app is also when a day-old directory refreshes. The refresh rewrote the phone’s copy of the directory while Siri was searching it, so results could come back partial or empty. TP Go now waits until Siri has finished before refreshing.
- Your own tasks on your own card. iOS 1.5.12 TouchPoint® lets you see the tasks assigned to you, but your own contact card hid them, and Ask TP Go could not answer about them. Both now show your open tasks. Notes written about you stay hidden, as TouchPoint intends.
- Ask TP Go answers faster when the app is closed. iOS 1.5.12 With TP Go fully closed, Siri could take up to 12 seconds to ask who you wanted. Every time TP Go started, it had Siri re-read its phrases, and Siri waited for that before going on. It now does that once after each update, and Siri asks in a few seconds.
- “Cancel” ends the request. iOS 1.5.12 Saying “cancel”, “no one” or “never mind” when Siri asks who now stops, instead of searching for someone by that name.
- Misheard names are found. iOS 1.5.12 When Siri mishears every word of a name, such as “Sheri Burlington” for Sherry Brewington, TP Go now looks for the closest spelling instead of saying no one matched.
- “None” is not an allergy. iOS 1.5.12 Ask TP Go read medical notes of “None” or “N/A” as an allergy, and a checked medication allergy box with nothing written as “has an allergy”. It now skips placeholder notes and says when the box is checked but nothing is written down.
- Siri lookups show in Activity. iOS 1.5.12 People you ask Siri about now appear in the Activity list, marked “Asked Siri”.
- Siri says when it cannot see something. iOS 1.5.12 When TouchPoint does not let you see someone’s tasks or notes, Ask TP Go now says so instead of guessing at them.
- “No notes” means no notes. iOS 1.5.12 Asking about someone whose only history is logged calls, texts and emails got “no recent notes”, while their card listed those under Recent Activity. Siri now says there are no notes and tells you about the logged contacts. If TouchPoint does not answer for their notes, Siri says it could not load them instead of saying there are none.
- Names read first name first. iOS 1.5.12 Search results and the Activity list mixed “Swaby, Ben” with “Ben Swaby”, depending on whether a result came from your phone’s copy of the directory or from TouchPoint. Every name now reads first name first, and search results sort by last name.
- Picking between two people with the same name. iOS 1.5.12 When Siri found more than one match and you chose one, it could say it had selected the first option and then do nothing. It now carries on with the person you picked.
- Calls placed through Siri are logged. iOS 1.5.12 A call started by asking Siri now shows in Activity and is logged to TouchPoint like any other call.
- Related families open their profile. iOS 1.5.12 Tapping someone in Related Families could open a blank page. It now opens their profile, the same as tapping anyone else.

Contact cards show address and birthday, and sign-in works every time
Week of October 5, 2026
✅ New
- Address, email and birthday on the contact card. iOS 1.5.11Android 1.5.11Chrome/Edge 1.5.11Outlook/Teams 2.2.6 Open anyone and you now see their address, their email and their birthday alongside the phone numbers. Most people take the household address, and that is simply shown as their address. Where someone has an address of their own and the family lives somewhere else, you see both, the second one labeled as the family’s. Tap an address to open it in Maps, or press and hold to copy it. Address and the other contact fields follow the Contact Card Display settings on your TP Go dashboard, so you can turn any of them off for everyone.
- You choose how long a sign-in lasts. iOS 1.5.11Android 1.5.11Chrome/Edge 1.5.11Outlook/Teams 2.2.6 Phone Sign-in on your TP Go dashboard now sets how long a new sign-in is good for: 90 days, 6 months, a year, 5 years, or never. Five years is the default and is what the app has always used, so leaving it alone changes nothing. Changing it applies to sign-ins made from that point on, and nobody is signed out. To see or cancel the access phones already hold, use the Access Audit report inside TouchPoint®.
- A sign-in log you can send us. iOS 1.5.11 Settings now keeps a short record of your last few sign-in attempts. It stays folded up behind one line telling you whether anything went wrong, and opens itself when the last attempt failed. Inside, anything that failed is in red, with a button to copy the whole thing. Nothing sensitive is kept: no password and no access token, just what the app tried and what came back. If someone cannot get in, this is the fastest way to tell us what actually happened.
🔧 Bug Fix
- Sign-in that works every time. iOS 1.5.11 Some sign-ins failed even with the right password, and trying again often worked, which made it look random. It was. When you sign in, TouchPoint hands the app an access pass together with the date that pass runs out, and the app was picking the wrong one of the two, sending the date where the pass belonged about half the time. TouchPoint quite rightly turned it away. The app now reads the pass by name and gets it right every time, and if that reply ever changes it says so plainly instead of guessing.
- A clear message when your access is removed. iOS 1.5.11Android 1.5.11Chrome/Edge 1.5.11Outlook/Teams 2.2.6 If an administrator removes this phone's access, or that access eventually runs out, the app used to carry on as though nothing had happened: search found nobody, caller ID went quiet, and there was no hint why. It now notices, tells you your sign-in has expired or was removed, and takes you to the sign-in screen with your church address already filled in, so all you need is your password. Being short of one permission for a single screen is treated differently and will not sign you out.
- Clearer message when you sign in with your email. iOS 1.5.11 The TouchPoint website lets you sign in with either your username or your email address. The app accepts your username only, so an email that works on the website could fail here with nothing more helpful than "invalid username or password." It now tells you to try your username and where to find it.
- Addresses open beside your work, not on top of it. Chrome/Edge 1.5.11Outlook/Teams 2.2.6 Clicking an address, or an email link, could navigate the page you were already reading instead of opening somewhere new, which meant losing your place to look up a street. Both now open in their own tab or window and leave your work alone.
- Steadier contact database. iOS 1.5.11 The local copy of your directory, the one that powers search and caller ID, could be read and written at the same moment by different parts of the app. In the worst case a directory refresh could leave the list empty or half written, which looked like caller ID simply stopping. Access is now properly ordered.

Task rows now show who the task is about
Week of August 3, 2026
🔧 Bug Fix
- About person's name on the Tasks list. iOS 1.5.10Android 1.5.10Chrome/Edge 1.5.10Outlook/Teams 2.2.5 Task rows on the My Tasks tab used to show only who sent or was assigned the task, not the person it was about. Now each row shows "about Michelle Fithian" and the same name appears on the task detail. Nothing to configure: the app fills the name in from your directory automatically.

Save Contacts, Email a Whole Family
Week of July 28, 2026
✅ New
- Save any contact to your own address book. iOS 1.5.9Android 1.5.9Chrome/Edge 1.5.9Outlook/Teams 2.2.4 Tap Save on any contact card. On iPhone and Android it drops the person into your phone's Contacts, already filled in. On the browser, Outlook, and Teams it downloads a standard contact card you open into Apple, Google, or Outlook contacts. Long-press Save on mobile to choose which fields to include.
- Email several people, or a whole family, at once. iOS 1.5.9Android 1.5.9Chrome/Edge 1.5.9Outlook/Teams 2.2.4 Use the group option on mobile, or right-click the email row on the browser, Outlook, or Teams, then pick everyone you want. The picker pulls in the person's family, so reaching a whole household takes a couple of taps. Everyone lands on one message, and each send logs back to TouchPoint on its own.
🔧 Bug Fix
- Texting a contact from Mac Outlook. Outlook/Teams 2.2.4 Tapping text opened Messages but left the recipient blank. It now fills in the person you clicked.

Copy From Anywhere, Right-Click to Call
Week of July 7, 2026
✅ New
- Copy phone, email, or address from any contact card. iOS 1.5.8Chrome/Edge 1.5.8Outlook/Teams 2.2.3 Long-press (iOS) or right-click (browser, Outlook, Teams) any phone number, email, or address on a contact card to copy it to your clipboard. Phones copy as raw digits so they paste cleanly into any dialer.
- Right-click a phone to pick your calling app on desktop. Chrome/Edge 1.5.8Outlook/Teams 2.2.3 Same idea as iOS's long-press picker, now on desktop. Right-click any phone number and choose Call with System, Call with Teams (if you've enabled it), or Copy Number. Pick per call. No need to change your default.
- Enable Microsoft Teams calling toggle. Chrome/Edge 1.5.8Outlook/Teams 2.2.3 Settings now has a checkbox for Teams calling. When on, tapping a phone number dials via Teams. When off, tapping uses your browser's default handler. Right-click still lets you pick per call either way.
🔧 Bug Fix
- Family members with suffixes in their name. iOS 1.5.8Chrome/Edge 1.5.8Outlook/Teams 2.2.3 Tapping a family member like "Brook Pinson, Sr" showed "Access Restricted" instead of opening their profile. TouchPoint®'s contact search doesn't index the suffix as a searchable token, so lookups by name failed silently. iOS now looks up family by peopleId directly; the browser side strips the comma before searching. Either way, the tap now opens the person.
- Family navigation from Home and Recents on iOS. iOS 1.5.8 Tapping a family member while viewing a contact opened from the Home or Recents tab would spin and then stay on the same person. Now navigates cleanly, matching how it works from Search.

Long-Press Calling Menu
Week of June 30, 2026 · TPxi Go 1.5.7
✅ New
- Long-press a phone number to pick your calling app. iOS 1.5.7 Long-press any phone number on a contact card and get an instant picker: Phone, Microsoft Teams, or Vonage Business Communications if installed, plus Copy Number and Send Text. Pick per call without changing any system-wide defaults. This is the same pattern iOS Contacts uses natively.
- Default Call Method setting. iOS 1.5.7 Settings → Calling now shows which calling apps are detected on your phone and lets you pick a default so a plain tap dials that app straight away. Long-press still shows all options.
- Microsoft Teams calling. iOS 1.5.7 Teams now correctly shows up as a calling option when installed (was being silently missed in earlier builds).
- Vonage Business Communications support. iOS 1.5.7 Because VBC for iOS doesn't accept dial requests from external apps, choosing Vonage Call copies the number to your clipboard and opens VBC. Long-press its dialer and tap Paste to call. First-time users get a one-time hint explaining the flow.
🔧 Bug Fix
- Contact profiles now load reliably. iOS 1.5.7 Fixed multiple intermittent issues where photos, involvements, notes, family members, or emergency-contact details would fail to appear on the first open of a profile. Cellular signal fluctuations no longer drop the enrichment load, and interactive back-swipe gestures don't cancel in-flight data anymore.
- Search now finds people consistently. iOS 1.5.7 Manual typing search would occasionally miss people known to be in the directory. Root cause was the same cellular signal check that hit profile loads, now removed. Search returns full results whether you're on wifi, cell, or a shaky handoff.
- Tapping a family member now navigates. iOS 1.5.7 Tapping a family member or related-family contact from a profile would sometimes spin briefly and then stay on the same person. Fixed: navigation now cleanly swaps to the tapped contact.
- Siri contact swap. iOS 1.5.7 Asking Siri to look up a second person while a profile was already on screen would leave the first person visible. Siri now cleanly pops the current profile and opens the new one every time.
- Faster contact loads. iOS 1.5.7 Under-the-hood: identical concurrent network requests are now deduplicated. Contact details on a large church directory load noticeably quicker.
- TouchPoint® trademark corrected across the site. tpxigo.com Was TouchPoint™ in a few places, now uniformly TouchPoint®.
🔔 Heads Up
- Standard pricing in effect. As of July 1, 2026, TPxi Go is $199/year per church (unlimited users). Subscriptions started during the early-bird window (through June 30, 2026) remain at $99 for their first year and renew at the standard rate thereafter.

Notes That Work the Way You Do
Week of June 15, 2026 · TPxi Go 1.5.5
✅ New
- Notes set today as the Event Date automatically. iOS 1.5.5 Logging a note from TPxi Go now fills in today's date on the TouchPoint® timeline, matching how TouchPoint® web behaves. No more notes showing up in the wrong order because of a blank Event Date.
- Involvements grouped by ministry type. iOS 1.5.5 On the contact card, involvements are now organized by ministry type so you can scan someone's involvement across half a dozen teams at a glance.
- Better accessibility on iOS. iOS 1.5.5 More of the contact card (name, badges, and header details) now respects your iPhone Larger Text setting. If you've cranked up text size, the app scales along with you.

Deep Links, iPad Split View, Smarter Siri
Week of May 26, 2026 · TPxi Go 1.5.3
✅ New
- Deep links on iOS and Android. iOS 1.5.3Android 1.5.3 Text yourself a link like
https://tpxigo.com/people/<host>/<peopleId>and tapping it opens the app straight to that profile. Handy for sending someone's contact to a coworker or sharing from TouchPoint® to your own device. - iPad split view. iOS 1.5.3 On iPad, contacts list and profile now share the screen in a native master-detail layout. Search and select on the left, details on the right.
- Smarter Siri disambiguation. iOS 1.5.3 When multiple people match a Siri lookup, Siri now reads the matches back and lets you pick by voice ("the first one" or a name). After picking, the contact actually opens, and the previous silent hang is fixed. Single first names like "Garrett" now work without a last name.
- More search results returned. iOS 1.5.3 Common last names now return up to 100 matches (was 25).
- Search bar stays visible in Contacts. iOS 1.5.3 You can refine a search without having to scroll back up.
- Ask Siri to swap contacts. iOS 1.5.3 Saying a name while a profile is already on screen now opens the new contact instead of refreshing the old one.

One Log Interaction Everywhere
Week of April 27, 2026
✅ New
- One Log Interaction picker, everywhere. OutlookChrome / EdgeTeams The same simple form is now in all three apps: pick Email, Phone Call, or Text Message, set the direction, and add any details. Phone Call entries can include a duration. Text and Email entries can include the message content. Same workflow no matter where your staff are working.

- Changelog page. You're reading it. Bookmark tpxigo.com/changelog to see what's new each week.
🔧 Bug Fix
- Click-to-email landed on a blank tab. Chrome / Edge Clicking an email link sometimes opened a blank
mailto:page because Chrome couldn't find a default mail handler. Now opens your preferred webmail compose directly. - Dark mode contrast. Outlook Some text was hard to read when Outlook was in dark mode. Side panel now uses consistent light styling that works in both Outlook themes.
- "New Outlook for Windows" asked you to sign in again. Outlook About 1 in 15 times the new Outlook client would prompt for credentials even when you were already signed in. Fixed.
- Profile pictures, extended family, emergency contact, and related families weren't loading. iOS 1.3 Fixed.
- Email-style usernames couldn't sign in. iOS 1.3.1 Users with credentials like
Pastor@MyChurch.orgwere getting rejected. Now they can sign in correctly. - Dashboard load time. tpxigo.com Long-tenured churches were waiting 5 to 25 seconds. Dashboards now load near-instantly.
- Phantom usage on new signups. tpxigo.com Brand-new churches were showing "some usage" with no real activity. Counts are now accurate.
